My First Tissue Box

When I saw the tissue box tutorial on Split Coast Stampers I could not wait to try it. Friends of mine were making these ages ago but I never got around to it. You can make them with mountboard, cardstock or heavyweight patterned paper.

I have used cardstock from Stampin' Up! and embossed the panels with a Cuttlebug folder, the name of which escapes me at the moment. If you want to know though, just e-mail me or ask when leaving a comment and I can get back to you. The beautiful image is Verity from the Simply Adorables range at Sugar Nellie. These images are such a joy to colour and there are more out soon - I can't wait! Here's a clsoer look at her

I was making this as a gift for someone but have decided to keep it for myself and make some more to give away.

I am entering this into the following challenges
Simon Says Stamp - anything but a card
A Spoonful of Sugar - anything but a card
Digital Tuesday - use a die-cut (Nesties used for opening at top of box)
Craft Your Passion - Pink
OSAAT- make it pretty (if this doesn't make a tissue box pretty then what will lol!)

thanks for visiting my little blog today and many thanks for any comments you may leave

The DP is MME La Paperie, inked with red chalk ink. The plain and glitter cardstock are from stash and the sentiment comes along with Goldilocks. The image is coloured with Promarkers, DP is Memory Box and the cardstock and sentiment are Stampin' Up!
I punched down the edge with a Martha Stewart punch. The roses are Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

Truly Adorable

Finally I got time to colour one of my latest purchases from Sugar Nellie. This cutie is Joy, from the Simply Adorables range. I have coloured her with Promarkers. The paper and cardstock are Stampin' Up! and the sentiment is from The Greeting Farm. I inked around the So Saffron cardstock with green chalk ink and stamped the sentiment in the same ink.

I am entering this card into the current Sugar Bowl challenge.

I would also like to thank Heather for very kindly giving me an award. Heather is so talented so I was very touched that she thought to award this to me

There are a couple of conditions for the award.

You have been TAGGED and want to participate? Then create a post where you post the 'LOVE BLOG' image. You should also blog the persons link that gave you the award and inform her/him that you accept the award. You can then choose 3 - 5 favourite blogs which you also link in your post, then each blogger will inform you that they have been tagged

The aim of this action is that we bring unknown, good blogs to light,so I would ask you not to blog fellow bloggers that already have 3,000 followers - heaven knows I ain't anywhere near 300, never mind 3000 lol!

Now to decide which blogs to pass this onto!
