Some Stampin' Up! time

I am doing some online classes just now and here are the projects we have done so far. I still have to perfect them so excuse any little imperfections! The shoe and handbag are made using Only Orange cardstock. The paper is from the Rainbow Sherbert series and the ribbon is Tempting Turquoise. The brads are silver from stash and SU green Galore. The gorgeous flower is made with Pink Passion and Yoyo Yellow cardstock and the Scalloped Circle punch. The idea is to put some goodies inside the shoe- perfect as a party favour!
The second project was a technique called "faux frosting". If you look closely you may see the textured frosting on the cupcake. The cupcake stamp is from the Crazy for Cupcakes set. I had no re-inkers available so will be trying this technique again when I order some. I have glittered the frosting instead but I'm not sure it shows up in the piccie. The paper on the card is from the Tea Party series and the cardstock is Pretty In Pink and Almost Amethyst. The sentiment is from the Circle of friendship set. If you would like to order any Su products then please e-mail me.
Thanks to Monica Gale of Stamp With Us for the instructions/inspiration. Her finished samples were fabulous.

Daisy May and Sunday Stamper challenges

Sunday Stampers theme this week was Imagine. I imagine that there are lots of fairies at the bottom of the garden(wish they could do the weeding for me), so decided to use the free stamps with this months Papercraft Inspirations for my project. The images were stamped on mountboard and watercoloured with my Derwent Inktense pencils. Then I washed the entire piece with pale green and inked the edges with a mix of chalk ink and gold Krylon pen.I used some lovely beaded trim which my friend Hels sent me and punched a couple of holes at the top with my Cropadile to thread some ribbon through for hanging. Stickles added some sparkle for the wings. Very basic, you should check out the hanging pieces Hels made for this challenge, they are amazing. You'll find the link to her blog on my side bar.

The Daisy May challenge this week is "friendship". I thought this Daisy May image was perfect. It was coloured with Promarkers and matted on some Bazzill. The paper is from Basic Grey Bittersweet collection and the raffia ribbon was from Bunny Zoe Crafts, I love it.I also used a charm on my card for the first time. I must get proper tools for opening and closing the jump rings, teeth are not so good!

More Manga

The Sugar Bowl challenge this week was a sketch with the added extra of ribbon or bows. I have used the Manga Girl image, another Sugar Nellie recent release and Basic Grey Lime Rickey papers for this card. The ribbon is some sticky ribbon from my stash and I have coloured the image with Promarkers. I finsihed the card tonight then realised that the deadline was last night!! Thought i'd blog it anyway.

Sketch Saturday had another great sketch this week and I just had to use manga Girl again. I had to rotate the sketch to fit the image in. Manga Girl is again coloured with Promarkers, the papers are Basic Grey Marrakech and the flowers are Prima. Ribbon and dots are from stash.

Friday Sketchers challenge

Hurrah, I found time to get my stamps out! I have used this weeks sketch which was nice and simple to work with. The image is Manga Boy and is one of the latest Sugar Nellie stamps. I managed to get my hands on them last week. I coloured him with Promarkers and inked around the image with orange chalk ink. The papers are Basic Grey Lime Rickey and the sentiment stamp is HOTP. I punched the sentiment out and added some ink and little shimmery dots.

Messy Rabbit saves the day

I was asked to make a couple of cards for work colleagues. One was for an engagement and another was a thank you card that had a tortoise on it. I had very short notice for both cards so with limited time my Messy Rabbit CD came up trumps for both. I have used Bazzill cardstock to mat the images and some little sparkly circles on the engagement card, which you might make out in the close up. The letters were done using the Moxi alphabet and my Quickutz Squeeze. Hopefully I will get the chance to do some stamping and colouring soon- I am having withdrawal symptoms!

Playing in The Sugar Bowl again

A great sketch for this latest challenge and you also had to use some sparkle, bling or glitter! I love bling but decided that this image needed it rationed. The image is another High Hopes one that got inked up for the first time. Papers are Basic Grey Boxer and some scraps of Bazzill. The little glittery dots are from QVC, no idea who makes them. I punched a flower using my Retro punch and popped another glittery dot in the centre.

Friday Sketchers

I have been dying to ink up these cute stamps from High Hopes for a while now so thought they would be perfect for this week's sketch, which I rotated to fit. The papers are Basic Grey Lime Rickey and the mat has been cut using Nestabilities.I coloured the boy & girl with Derwent Inktense pencils, cut them out and "sat" them on the hay bale using 3D foam pads. I then added glitter dots in accordance with the sketch and the sentiment which I washed over with a very pale blue.
Thanks for looking and for any comments you might leave.

Welcome Back Sunday Stamper

Sunday Stamper returned this week and the theme is HOME. I have cheated a bit and used a garden themed stamp as my garden is a large part of my home- hope you will allow this Hels. The stamps are all High Hopes and the papers are from Jesse Edwards. I have watercoloured the main image, cut it out and inked around the edges with a green chalk ink. I also inked around the edges of the card.

Hels is also giving away this candy to celebrate being back.Go check out her blog on my sidebar for details.

Friday Sketchers

Just made it in time to enter this week's challenge over at Friday Sketchers. Nice simple sketch this week. I used one of my new High Hopes stamps, coloured with Promarkers and cut her out using my Nestabilites. The paper is from basic Grey Lime Rickey collection. Flowers are Prima and the glitter dots were from QVC.
I am having problems with my playlist- basically it stopped playing so I have removed it for now. Since I did my blog has stopped freezing:0)
I have put on a few videos instead but these aren't going to smoothly. Anyone else having the same probs?

Some cards at long last!

Well I finally managed to grab some time to craft this afternoon and attempt the Sugar Bowl challenge. As well as following the sketch you had to use some kraft coloured cardstock on the card.I had made a card, then realised I hadn't used any kraft so had to start all over again. The cardstock is from Stampin' Up! and I used one of the Gorjuss stamps by Sugar Nellie. Paper is from Papermania.
This is the first attempt, minus the kraft cardstock but I thought I'd show it anyway although I cannot enter it.What a dope!

Flippin' Kidz & Sunday Stampers

I got this great decoupage from Create & Craft recently. If you haven't seen it then you get the front and the back of the image one the sheet. The special aperture cards allow you to use acetate so that you can view the front and then the back when you open the card. The images are all such fun. The paper used on the bottom half of the card is Basic Grey.

Sunday Stampers challenge this week was the theme of walking or the moon in honour of my friend Andrea and her daughter who completed the Playtex Moonwalk last weekend and raise over £2000 for charity. I have no moon stamps at all and I hope Hels will let me off with this as a "walking" theme- well, there are legs in it after all :0)
The stamp is my Paper Bag Studios and I stamped it in black Stazon. The background has been created using alcohol inks on glossy paper. I used some Core'dinations Black Magic and embossed it using a Cuttlebug folder, then sanded it to reveal the inner colour. This was then attached to the card blank and the image added.

Sketch Saturday

Another day, another card, this time using a lovely sketch for this week's Sketch Saturday challenge. The papers are from the new Jesse Edwards collection, another thing in my Creativity Goody Bag.I used my scalloped edge punch by Stampin' Up! to edge the pink papers. The image is my Innovative Stamp Creations and I have coloured this using Distress Inks. I have always loved this stamp plate and finally managed to get my hands on it last month. The flowers, spacers, brads and glittery dots are all from stash. Thanks for looking, have a good weekend

Friday Sketchers

At last I managed to get my mitts on Miss Anya courtesy of Silly Monkey Crafts :-)
I haven't done any crafting at all this week so managed to grab some time tonight to throw this card together, following the sketch for this weeks Friday Sketchers Challenge. I used some gorgeous flocked handmade paper from a Creativity Goody bag I got last month. It is so strokeable! Miss Anya is coloured with both Promarkers and Derwent pencils but I am not happy with the colouring at all. Didn't have time to redo it so it will just have to do. Cardstock is Bazzill, sentiment is by Hot Of The Press and ribbon was in the Goody Bag as well.
Thanks for looking and apologise for lack of blogging lately. i hope to get round all your blogs over the next couple of days
hugs

Friday Sketchers

I wasn't sure about this card at first - needed shades to look at it but it has grown on me. The papers are from the Lime Rickey collection by Basic Grey. The image is Paper Bag Studios and has been coloured with Distress Inks. Flowers are Prima and brads from stash. The little swirl was done with my EK success swirl punch and the same Basic Grey papers. Loved the sketch and will be using it again and again I'm sure.

Sketch Saturday

Another superb sketch from Sketch Saturday, I will use this again I'm sure. The papers are Basic Grey Boxer and the image is a Sugar Nellie. I think he is called Porridge. I have watercoloured him and inked around the image with chalk ink before matting on some darker paper. The buttons and ribbon are from my stash.
I have popped a card on here as well that I made for my neighbour who had a baby boy yesterday. Made using the Messy Rabbits CD by Joanna Sheen.

High Hopes Challenge

The challenge this week was to make something other than a card. I decided to make a box by adapting a tutorial on SCS. I got the link from Rach's blog ages ago. I then decided that I would some Stampin' Up! products as I do love them but rarely find time to play. The cardstock is Bazzill. The stamp is from Stampin' Up! Summer By The Sea set and I have coloured the image in with the Soft Subtles markers. The ribbon through the lid is Stampin'Up! grosgrain in Elegant Eggplant. I plan to use this for a hostess gift next workshop.
