Another fabulous new stamp I acquired recently from Sugar Nellie, this is called Fifi Goes Shopping. I have coloured the image with Pro/Flexmarkers and created the pavement effect after seeing it on my fellow blogger Coops cards.

Sugar Bowl Time!!
It seems like ages since I had time to play in the Sugar Bowl so I thought I'd ink up one of my new purchases over the weekend. I also tried black hair using the "black" Promarker rather than using the Warm Greys. Can't say I'm overly pleased with the result but there you go!
The gorgeous papers are Basic Grey Origins and the sentiment is Stampin up which you will see on the tag in the picture below

Yes indeed I have managed to make the staggering amount of two cards, why do I never seem to have crafty time these days. Anyway, I used another fabulous Saturated Canary image

My First Faux Book
I decided to make a wedding card for someone I know who gets married in a few weeks. I have seen faux books on blogs before and in Craft Stamper but never tried making one. Here is my first attempt.
The image is LOTV and the beautiful papers are Basic Grey Capella. The lighting wasn't very great, I'm afraid the pics could be better. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and added some Stickles to the edges of her dress. The heart stamp is from February Craft Stamper. Here's a look inside
and a wee side view

Hurrah I have made a card!! I decided to attempt colouring an image just using greys. I have seen a few of my blogging buddies do this and really like the effect. This sweetie is from Saturated Canary, I love Krista's images. The papers are from a Joanna Sheen CD I have and I coloured the lace and the edges of the papers with Distress Ink. Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! We had a great day, lovely dinner with family and the boys were delighted with their gifts. Then since boxing Day I've had a rotten cold - at least I didn't have to worry about going to work. bit better today so hope that I can see the New Year in sniffle free. Thought I would share with you the last Christmas card I made. I had planned to make lots using this set but due to a wee mix up with Create and Craft they arrived far too late. Maybe next year! Anyway these are from Clarity Stamps and I was really pleased with the end result
Today I managed to make my last journal page for the He-art Journalling project with the Greeting Farm. Now I need to bind all the pages together. This week had to be a page about yourself. I used one of my favourite Simply Sassy stamps and lots of shades of greens (my favourite colour). Had to add a wee bit of sparkle too of course.
The background was made using Distress Inks and the image is coloured with Flexmarkers and Promarkers. Even the journalling is Emerald Promarker using a fine nib. Here's a closer look at the image
My hubby bought me the whole range of Flexmarkers for Christmas and even built me a box to store them. It is the smaller of the two boxes, the other houses my Promarkers and yes, he made that too!
I would like to enter my journal page into the following challenges
Charisma Cardz - anything goes

In case I don't manage to blog again until January may I wish you all a Happy New Year.

Second post today
My last Christmas card using Pippi, wish it was the last card I have to make but I need tons more!!!!!! The snow is falling steadily here and it's freezing out. Perfect night for staying indoors crafting and watching X-Factor!! Anyway, here is my card
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes (2nd entry)
Sketch Saturday - sketch
Paper Shelter - anything goes
thanks for visiting, hope the snows stops soon or it won't be a pleasant journey to work tomorrow!!

I made a big boo-boo when stamping the sentiment on the image so had to improvise and cover it up with some torn, distressed paper. Hope it doesn't look like too obvious a cover up!
I used shimmer paint on her wings but I don't think the camera picks up sparkle very well. Here's a closer look

Another Christmas card done and dusted!
Well I don't think everyone will be getting a handmade card from me this year because I am running out of time to make them. However, here's another I managed last night suing the gorgeous Pippi Longsocks from Sugar Nellie. The sentiment looks a bit blurry in the photo but it isn't in real life! The papers and vellum are Papermania. Pippi is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers and I added Stickles to her wings for a bit of sparkle. All of the papers are edged with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.
I am entering this card into the following challenges
Craft Your Passion - Tis the Season

Stamptacular Sunday - anything Christmas
Sketch Saturday - sketch
Here is another card I finished off yesterday. The stamps are Clarity and I followed the Classroom lesson 4.
Do you think I could get away with this as a Christmas card if I stamp a Christmas sentiment inside??
Thanks for visiting

New Distress Inks...yum!
I've been playing with the new Winter Distress Inks this week. I love each colour, can't decide which is my favourite of the three, I keep changing my mind. Anyway, after watching a video over at Simon Says Stamp I was inspired to make a Christmas Garland to enter one of Shimelle's challenges which she set both on her blog and as part of the Pretty Paper Party
The sentiment stamp on the middle of the banner is the latest New Design Club stamp from Clarity Stamps and the other one is the freebie from the current Craft Stamper. Click on the pic for a closer view.
Shimelle also challenged us to share a Christmas mini album we had made. This is one I made in a class a few years ago and yes there are still photos to be put in...how shocking!
This was the first time I had taken a class to make a mini-album. I loved learning how to assemble the pages as I was very much a novice. The MME papers and embellishments used were just fabulous. Also loved the little bell on the front.

Well I must go and get on with some boring old housework. My eldest is not very well this week. Turns out he has a chest infection. The doctor actually made a house call yesterday evening, something I didn't think they did anymore? He has to have a weekend of inactivity so he gets out of cleaning his room, much to his delight. He is parked in front of the X-box with his brother.
Hope you all have a good weekend

What I've been up to
I have a few things to share today. I was at a crop on Sunday and we had been challenged to make a Christmas card with a 3D element to take along with us. Here is my card
The next page is Prompt 4 which was to mix papers with dots and stripes. I found these long forgotten papers, it was the closest I could find to dots and stripes
I am so far behind with the prompts but am loving every minute.
Finally here is this week's page for my He-art Journal. This week you had to do a page themed around food or drink you love.....what can I say, you gotta love cake!!
x
The image is Knitted with Love by Sugar Nellie, papers are Papermania and the rosette I made by pleating a strip of paper and gluing a button on top. You can just see the sparkle on her hat and pom poms which are covered in Stickles.
I am entering my card into
Make it Monday - always anything goes
I also managed to do a couple of scrapbook layouts for Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party. My friend Jo is also doing the class so we were able to help each other with ideas. Shimelle's prompts get you to use papers in a different way and work out of your comfort zone.
This page is Prompt 5 which was a sketch and you had to mess up your papers, either by distressing or tearing them.

Sugar for the Weekend
Here is my card for the current Sugar Bowl challenge
This image was a Sweet Ebony one from Sugar Nellie ages ago. I coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.
I also made a candle using Titania the other night but must apologise for the por photo, I couldn't get the light right at all and you cannot see the shimmer paint I used for her wings.
I am entering the candle into Simon Says - photo inspiration
Also want to share my journal page for this week, the theme was Heart to Heart
Hope you have a good weekend, I'm off to Zumba!!
