I managed two challenges on my day off yesterday. High Hopes challenge this week was to use hearts in your project. I took this great box idea from my blogging friend Rach- check out her fantastic blog for instructions. I have used some lovely paper I got yesterday to make the box(sorry but no idea who it is by) and some Chocolate Chip cardstock by Stampin' Up! to make the cover. I had no chipboard to hand so have used thin cardboard. The heart border is by Stampin' Up!, A Little Bit Of Happiness set and I have coloured the image with SU marker pens from the Earth Elements colour family. The sentiment is from another SU set, Best Yet. Both images were stamped in Chocolate Chip ink and then edged with Gold Krylon pen. I also took a gold Adirondack Dabber round the edges of the cover. The box is tied with Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, again from SU. I really enjoyed making this box- I haven't put anything in it yet in case the intended recipient reads this post.Thank you Rach for inspiring me yet again.
Sunday Stampers theme this week is blue. I have stamped Edwin with Guitar from Magnolia and given him a blue, shirt, blue jeans and blue laces. He is matted on some blue Bazzill CS and then placed on some blue HOTP paper I had attached to a card blank. Wonder if that's enough blue for Hels? :0)I have still to add the sentiment once I decide who this card is for.

High Hopes Weekly Challenge
This week's challenge was to make a card for a man or a boy. My youngest son will be 6 soon so I have made his birthday card. The stamp is from High Hopes, one of the few I own at the moment- there are plenty on my wish list! I have coloured the image with my Derwent pencils. The papers are Boxer by Basic Grey as are the buttons and letter stickers. I inked around the image and the name with chalk inks to define them slightly more. I've given you a close up of the little dragon too, isn't he a cutie?
thanks for stopping by

Friday Sketchers Challenge
Another fab sketch to work with. The Sarah Kay image was coloured with my Derwent pencils and then matted on some pink pearlised paper. I used a paper from K & Co(a 6x6 pad, cannot remember which)and highlighted the swirls with Stickles. Following the sketch I assembled the card with the papers and some Anita's Sticky Ribbon. The flower is a Bazzill Blossom and I have added a Dovecraft brad in the centre.

Whiff of Joy challenge
This week's challenge over on Whiff Of Joy was a colour combo of purple & green. I have used a stamp from Elzybells and coloured the image with Promarkers. I then edged the image with purple Promarker and matted it onto purple paper from DCWV Pocketful of Posies. Green Bazzill was used to mount the image and the greeting onto the card blank. I finished the card by adding three green flowers from Prima, with a purple brad in the centre of each.

Sugar Bowl challenge & a bit of scrapping
The Sugar Bowl challenge this week was to use three different papers and three different types of embellishments. I have coloured my Sugar Nellie image in to co-ordinate with the 3 papers, all from the Glitterstack from DCWV. I have then added a some ribbon, flowers and a pink brad. My eldest son thought this card was so good that it could not possibly have been made by me- he thought one of my very talented friends had sent me it! High praise indeed!
I finally managed to get the weekly challenge on UKS done last night. It is the first LO I have done since November I think. Need to make time for more as I have lots of lovely new Christmas photos to scrap. The papers and embellishments are Brenda Pinnick. The challenge was to use fruity colours, circles and have a new beginnings theme.

The papers are Ambrosia by Basic Grey,I love them. The buttons, black eyelets and ribbon are from my stash. I then used a peel-off which I coloured with my black Promarker.

Three challenges
I am still minus a PC but have popped up to my mum and she kindly let me update my blog. Managed three cards for challenges this week but have to pop them all on the one post. Here they are
This card is for the High Hopes challenge which was to use torn paper in your project. I have used two different Basic Grey papers and torn one down the edge. I have also torn around the stamped image, which is from High Hopes. The flowers are from Prima and the brad in the centre is Basic Grey.
This card is for Sunday Stampers, the challenge this week was to use black & gold. I have used black & gold papers by Basic Grey and again the stamp is High Hopes.I tore around the edges and inked them with gold. I have still to add the sentiment, I haven't decided what this card is for yet.
This card is for the Magnolia v Stampavie challenge which is a great sketch. the only other stipulation is that it had to be a thank you card. The papers and letters are Basic grey, the Stamp is High Hopes, a new addition to my collection.
