Super speedy card today using Beach Ink from Saturated Canary. Another superb image from Krista. I have coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Could have taken more time but the deadline for entry into the challenge is tomorrow and I left it until the last minute as usual.

First post of 2015!!

Oh but I have been a bad blogger. I have not been very creative over the last few months so have had nothing to post and have to admit that over the last few weeks I haven't even been hopping around blogland. However I had a few days off work last week and managed to make my first card of 2015.
The image is from Poladoodles new Octavia Moonfly release, I love her.

First project in a very long time!!

Yep it has been a while since I made anything but finally I have something to share. This beautiful image is Snow Queen from Aurora Stamps.

The project is a class from Kit and Clowder. If you haven't seen or heard about Alyce Keegan and her classes you need to go look. I am (very) slowly working my way through Skin and Hair and have a few others purchased as well. I do of course need them all.
The image is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The background is made using napkins, gesso, watercolours and pencils. It is A4 in size. Just need to frame it and decide what to do with it.

I am still around!!

No internet at home due to BT cutting into my line and my neighbours while contractors were working in the area so I am unable to blog or visit all your wonderful blogs. Hope to be back soon but they cannot give us a timescale GRRR!

Enjoying my hols!!

Enjoying a great break away in my caravan with the boys. Hubby isn't off so has joined us now and then when his shifts have allowed. Today is the first day we have had rain so we have been so lucky. Here is a beautiful sunset  captured last week. No editing has been done, loved the colours in this.

The suncream has been needed every day until today and I am hoping that Mr Sun will put his hat back on tomorrow. He is making a late appearance today so fingers crossed.
The boys made the most of the sunshine the other day and spent hours on the beach

I haven't done any cardmaking but thought I'd share one I made before I came away. I used the gorgeous Lavinia Stamps

Hope you like it, another week before I have to head back to work, maybe I will get some colouring done this week but it all depends on the sunshine.

Entry number two!

Yes I loved the image so much I coloured her up again. This will be my second entry into the contest at Simply Betty Stamps

This time I have gone for sepia tones for the hair, eyes and skin with blue for the flowers. The sentiment comes with the image.
Pulled out some of my favourite, strokeable papers for this card and used up some of my Wild Orchid flowers too.
Here is a closer look at the image (May Flowers), the shading hasn't shown up as much in the photo as in real life.

Simply Betty Contest

Here is my latest card, an image from Simply Betty Stamps which I coloured last night. Betty has challenged us to use this image and colour it in monochrome and only one other colour. This photo makes the flowers look blue but they are mort of a teal/aqua in real life. The card is 8 x 8. I have coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

I have printed her off another twice as I had so much fun colouring her, that's my job for tonight. Fingers crossed for the challenge as it is a fantastic prize of 6 colouring classes.

A Card at last

I coloured up this image weeks ago and am only now found time to make it into a card.

The image is Faerie Fae from Tiddly Inks, isn't she cute? Her hair is coloured with Copics, the rest with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Papers are DCWV and are lovely and glittery which hasn't been picked up by the camera.

Practice, Practice, Practice!

Here is my latest colouring attempt, I am really trying to improve my colouring techniques and am doing a Skin and Hair Class. I have used what I have learned so far about adding depth when colouring this beautiful image from Simply Betty stamps, District 31. I have coloured her hair with Copics and the rest of the image with Promarkers then matted her onto a Distress Ink background.
