Time In My Pocket

the weekly In My Pocket challenge by Hels this week is "Time". I have used papers from Stampin' Up! Brocade Background series of papers to cover both sides of the pocket. I then used clear stamps from Art Parts both under the flap and on top. The large clock face under the flap was masked and a script background stamped over it. Distress Ink in Vintage Photo was then applied with a wet baby wipe over the images and over the papers to give it a more distressed feel. Time- oh how I wish I had lots more of it.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by

Sparkle sparkle- I love glitter!

Here is a card I made for my mum to give my cousin on her 21st. The stamp is from Creative Expressions and is stamped on acetate. I then used dries clear glue to stick various colours of glitter onto the image. This takes a while but I was impressed by the finished article. I mounted it on some lovely pearlescent cardstock from my stash and placed that onto an A5 blank. You need to click on the image top really see all the different colours used. Hope Kelly likes her card, I need to go make one from me now!

Make & Take with the new scalloped edge punch

This is one of the make & takes that we did at the recent field training for Stampin' Up! The scalloped edge punch is in the new catalogue, priced £10.95. The new book comes out 1st October. We got to see the it and try out the new products on Saturday and trust me, this punch is on my ever growing wish list. I had never used SU punches before and they go through cardstock easily. If you would like to pre-order a scalloped edge punch then e-mail me at shazzapat@tiscali.co.uk.
The stamps set used is also a new one but only available as a hostess gift. However, if you would like to hold a party, I'm your gal!!! :0)

Scrapbook challenge - Craftswap

I decided to make another BIA box. I covered it in Close to Cocoa DP from Stampin' Up!. I inked the other side of the mountboard with chalk ink and then threaded fibres through all the holes. It took bloomin' ages but I hope you like the end result.

The September challenge was "Something Old, Something New". You had to use old photos and new stash. I had a great time trawling through old pics of my boys but was depressed to see me wearing clothes that no longer fit! In these photos Ryan is about 18 months old and Jay almost 6- they seem so tiny. I used a scallop punch to cut out three of the photos and all of the stash is from a HOTP kit I had yet to use.

UKS challenge

I have joined a team on UK Scrappers and there is a weekly scrapbook challenge. I thought this would encourage me to get more into this and use up some of the lovely papers I have acquired. The challenge this week was to use black & white, 9 embellishments, (I used more than that), a sketch and some rubber stamping. I forgot to do any stamping but not to worry. The paper and teeny brads are by HOTP. The flowers are from my stash and I put a clear Dew Drop in the centre of each. The chipboard letters and numbers are from a Brenda Pinnick kit that I have. Hope you likey, thanks for stopping by

Alphabet Street

This week's Sunday Stampers theme is Alphabet Street, set by the very talented Dan. I have made a background using alphabet peel-offs which I inked over with Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade and then took them back off. The girl is a Paper Bag Studios stamps and I have watercoloured her with Distress Inks too. She has an alphabet running down the side of the image too. I then tinted an A5 blank using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a baby wipe and mounted the background and image on to it. Hope you like it and thanks for looking

It's tag time

I am in a monthly tag swap and the theme this month was sayings/sentiments. I have used Distress inks for colouring and the stamps are the freebie in this month's Craft Stamper and a new sentiment one purchased from a well known auction site. Firstly I stamped the sentiment on each tag. I then stamped the flower and watercoloured them using Fired Brick. I then masked the flowers and used Cut'n'Dry foam to blend Mustard Seed over the tag. For the splodges I stamped the fired brick onto my craft mat and spritzed it with water, then dipped the tag in parts of it. Finally some red fibres were added to each tag. Thanks for looking

Elzybells/In My Pocket

In My Pocket challenge returned this week and this week the hidden element had to be "Stars". I have used my Elzybells stamps again, some DP from DCWV Glitterstack and an orange inkpad. The little star gems are from my stash as are the wooden stars under the flap. The sentiment was stamped using Studio G alphabet stamps. I am sending this pocket to a friend, I hope she likes it.
I got some fab stamps from Elzybells the other day. A friend's daughter broke her arm during the week so I decided to make her a little card. I embossed some card with a Cuttlebug folder and chalked over it with glimmer chalks. I stamped the image and coloured it with the glimmer chalks as well before matting them both on the card. I stamped the message using Studio G alphabet stamps- they are slightly off but I wanted it to be like that....or at least that's my story and I am sticking to it :0)

DCM weekly challenge

This weeks challenge was a sketch. I had to do it as I love working from sketches. It was a friends birthday yesterday so I decided to make her card and enter it into the DCM challenge, killing two birds with one stone. The image is a Sarah Kay one and is coloured with my Derwent Inktense pencils. The DP is from DCWV Glitterstack and I used my Woodware scallop punch to cut the circle and stamped Happy Birthday inside it. Then I added little dew drops thingies around the scalloped edges. The piece of ribbon is from my stash and was attached to the card prior to mounting the image and scalloped circle. I hope you like it and thanks for visiting

Masking, blending and spritzing a la Dan99

This is a card I made for a friends birthday using my Distress Inks and a Paperbag Studios stamp. The techniques I used were all shown on a fab tutorial by my friend Dan. You can see it Here.

I used Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Mustard Seed inks. The image was stamped in black, masked and then I blended the inks on the card. I then spritzed water over it and watercoloured the stamped image with the Distress Inks. Thanks Dan for all your info and thank you for stopping by

The stamp is a Sugar Nellie one and I have watercoloured it with my Derwent Inktense pencils. The paper is DCWV Glitterstack and the cardstock and pink pearlescent paper are from my stash. I added three orange Primas with gems in the centre per the sketch and have not added a greeting yet. Check out the DT samples, they are fantasticHere

Yes indeed, another scrapbook page!

You wouldn't believe it but already I have used my Scrapbook Sisters kit again. I have joined the Glitter Gossips team on UKS and the weekly challenge was
Use a Bee Gees song as your title
Use red
Use ribbon
Use bling
Use buttons

I have chosen a photo of my wedding. The River Ness and the castle are in the background. The page is white Bazzill and the DP, chipboard embellies and rub-ons are Heidi Grace. For the bling I added accents with Stickles and stitched around the DP with a Sakura glitter gel pen. The red button is from my stash and the ribbon was in the SS kit. Hope you like it, I am really pleased with how it turned out.

Scrapbook Sisters Ltd Edition kit and a card

Here is another card I made using those fab Sarah Kay images. The paper is DCWV Glitterstack and a couple of prima flowers with a pink brad in the centre.Colouring is with Derwent Inktense. The sentiment is stamped on some pink cardstock using black ink.
I got this kit when it came out last month and it is sooo gorgeous. All the papers, stamps and embellies are Heidi Grace. This page was made using their instructions and I decided to capture Ryan's first day at school. The page is black Bazzill and the flowers have been stamped and embossed in white. I am now looking for other photos to use with the rest of the kit.
Hope you like it and thanks to Karen & Julie for a fabulous kit
