Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! We had a great day, lovely dinner with family and the boys were delighted with their gifts. Then since boxing Day I've had a rotten cold - at least I didn't have to worry about going to work. bit better today so hope that I can see the New Year in sniffle free.  Thought I would share with you the last Christmas card I made. I had planned to make lots using this set but due to a wee mix up with Create and Craft they arrived far too late. Maybe next year! Anyway these are from Clarity Stamps and I was really pleased with the end result

Today I managed to make my last journal page for the He-art Journalling project with the Greeting Farm. Now I need to bind all the pages together. This week had to be a page about yourself.  I used one of my favourite Simply Sassy stamps and lots of shades of greens (my favourite colour).  Had to add a wee bit of sparkle too of course.
The background was made using Distress Inks and the image is coloured with Flexmarkers and Promarkers. Even the journalling is Emerald Promarker using a fine nib.
Here's a closer look at the image

My hubby bought me the whole range of Flexmarkers for Christmas and even built me a box to store them. It is the smaller of the two boxes, the other houses my Promarkers and yes, he made that too!
I would like to enter my journal page into the following challenges
Charisma Cardz - anything goes
I Love Promarkers - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes

In case I don't manage to blog again until January may I wish you all a Happy New Year.

The winners will get their image shown in the blog header. Here is my interpretation

And this is the card that I made with her

The papers are Memory Box, the ribbon was from stash and I put stickles down the middle which doesn't really show up properly in the photo. The sketch I used is the current Sugar Bowl challenge.

I think I am in Love...

with this image!!! She is "Strike a Pose" and is one of the latest realeases from the Simply Sassy by Sugar Nellie. This card is for my little sis who turns 37 today - she does like to pose so thought it was very apt lol!
Not the best picture, it's a bit squint, might have to sort it later. The image is coloured with Promarkers, took me ages to do her hair but I'm really pleased with how it turned out. The papers are BG Urban Prairie, sentiment is SU! and the swirls were made with a Paper Shapers punch. The Sugar Nellie challenge on Facebook this week was to use a punch so I can enter the card into it. I am also entering the following

Missing You!

That's the name of this gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamp. She is one of the Simply Sassy images.
I have coloured everything but the hair with Copics. Yes, this is a first, I borrowed them while visiting the House of Sugar last week. I did like them, particularly the skintones but hubby would go mad if I said I was building up another collection of pens lol! The hair was done with my Promarkers when I got home. Papers are Tim Holtz, except for the circle which is SU! Pearls are Basic Grey.
I made this card for the current Sugar Bowl challenge.

I was absolutely thrilled when Elaine asked if I would be in the Sunday Spotlight over at Sugar Nellie. Here is the card I made for her to show
I have used the wonderful Pillow Talk from one of my fave ranges, Simply Sassy. You can find her and lots more HERE. And Why Not???

I saw the Simply Sassy Guest DT Call when it was first posted but decided not to bother becasue I was no where near the standard of those Sassy Girls. However, I read the post this morning saying there was still time to enter and in a moment of madness decided to go for it - nothing to lose really and it meant I got to spend the afternoon making a card.

I have used the gorgeous Hippie Love, another SECC buy that had been waiting patiently to be inked up. I've coloured her with Promarkers and inked around her with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.  Those yummy papers are Basic Grey Urban Prairie and they have all been distressed and inked. The sentiment is Stampin' Up!
I was debating whether to add flowers etc but decided to leave it clean and simple.
Well, there it is, hat thrown into the ring, I blame Maria Therese, lol!!!!!!!

Wish me luck x

Simon Says Sugarbowl Time

Hurrah, I found time to make a card. This beautiful image is I Give You My Heart from the Simply Sassy range at Sugar Nellie. Isn't she gorgeous?

I have coloured her with Promarkers, the DP is Prima and cardstock is SU!
The gorgeous ribbon was bought at the Papercrafts shop in Elgin, home of Sugar Nellie. I used the Bow -Easy template to make the bow - not too easy for me, I had to attempt it several times lol!
I have followed the sketch over a the Sugarbowl but had to turn it on it's side to fit the image. I decided not to add the flowers that I punched as they looked too fussy and I wanted to keep the card simple.
I am entering this into the following challenges
The Sugar Bowl - sketch and PINK
Make It Monday - anything goes
Woodware USA  - clean and simple
Simon Says Stamp - girly

thanks for visiting my little part of blogland today. I appreciate your comments

The DP is MME La Paperie, inked with red chalk ink. The plain and glitter cardstock are from stash and the sentiment comes along with Goldilocks. It also looks squint on the photo but not in real life- think my camera has been on the G & Ts!!!

My first tea-light card

This is my first attempt at a tea-light card after seeing them on a few blogs. Actually, the little box may be used to house various things instead of tea-lights. I think I'll make some more filled with chocolates(yum)
I have used the gorgeous Hippie Chick from the Simply Sassy range of stamps, exclusively available from Sugar Nellie. I just love her big eyes and have a wee wish list going which I am hoping to score a few off of later this evening!!

I have coloured her with Promarkers and did my first attempt at red hair, what do you think?
The cardstock used is Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up! and the papers are Ella Blue by GCD. The decorative edges were done with a Martha Stewart punch and the ribbon used to close the card is from my stash.  Here's what it looks like inside

As you can see there's a pocket inside the front cover which has a tag in it for writing your message. The pocket has been edged with the MS punch as well.  The box is secured with more ribbon. Here is a closer look at the gorgeous image
I have already entered the GDT call over at Simply Sassy. See my post HERE if you want to know what it's about. I am entering this project too although when I see the other entries I somehow think I'm on a hiding to nothing......there are lots of amazing cards.
