Time for some Sugar!
Yes it is the Sugarbowl Challenge again and this time it's a sketch from the very talented Erika.
I used Joy sitting, one of the fabulous digi images from the Simply Adorables range. They are so easy to colour.
The gorgeous papers are GCD Ella Blue, they have been distressed and inked with Vintage Photo. The roses are Wild Orchid Crafts.
It has been a day in the house for me as my youngest is poorly. Had to take him to emergency doc last night- turns out he has urine infection and a flu type virus. Poor thing hasn't moved off the couch all day but is a bit brighter tonight thankfully.
The golf Scottish Open is a few miles from here and was rained off today- we had the loudest thunderstorm I've ever heard last night and it has rained almost the whole day. Lovely Summer weather.
Hope the weather has been better where you are.
Here is a closer look at Joy
I am also entering this into the following challenges
Crafty Catz - vintage look
Digi's with Attitude - anything goes
Charisma Cardz - all about flowers
thanks for visiting x

Back to good old Scottish weather
Well I have had a glorious all-inclusive fortnight in Lanzarote!!! I've put the view from our apartment below. Ate loads and read 4 books while sitting on the sunlounger...BLISS! It was 41 degrees at 4pm poolside one of the days.
Back to normal today though when I returned to work and it was raining. I will catch up with what you have all been up to as soon as possible but there is a mountain of washing/ironing to be tackled first. I'll be back commenting on your blogs soon.
Can't wait to catch up

How Excited am I??????????
I was absolutely thrilled when Elaine asked if I would be in the Sunday Spotlight over at Sugar Nellie. Here is the card I made for her to show
I have used the wonderful Pillow Talk from one of my fave ranges, Simply Sassy. You can find her and lots more HERE. The image is coloured with Promarkers and I tried out a new hair colour combo, hope you like it. Papers are My Minds Eye, La Paperie. Sentiment is HOTP. All papers have been distressed and inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
If you haven't seen Sugar Nellie stamps, you are missing out! I am lucky enough to live close enough to the House of Sugar to be able to visit when time allows. Don't know if my credit card would agree though.
I would like to thank Elaine massively for asking me to take part in the Spotlight, I am honoured

And Why Not???
I saw the Simply Sassy Guest DT Call when it was first posted but decided not to bother becasue I was no where near the standard of those Sassy Girls. However, I read the post this morning saying there was still time to enter and in a moment of madness decided to go for it - nothing to lose really and it meant I got to spend the afternoon making a card.
I have used the gorgeous Hippie Love, another SECC buy that had been waiting patiently to be inked up. I've coloured her with Promarkers and inked around her with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. Those yummy papers are Basic Grey Urban Prairie and they have all been distressed and inked. The sentiment is Stampin' Up!
I was debating whether to add flowers etc but decided to leave it clean and simple.
Well, there it is, hat thrown into the ring, I blame Maria Therese, lol!!!!!!!
Wish me luck x

Tartan Day Blog Hop
Hello everyone and welcome to the blog hop for Tartan Day on this the 6th April 2011 - I hope you enjoy it.
If you are taking part in the hop then you should have arrived here from Jen's blog. If you want to start at the beginning then you should go and visit our host, Gill.
The theme of this hop as mentioned is Tartan Day. What we are doing on this hop is bringing together a select few people from all over the world to take part and for them to create a project with an element of tartan on it.
This is a hop with a difference as along the hop there are letters to find in the postings - not all blogs have the letters but if you gather all the letters then at the end of the hop assemble them to create a Scottish themed word. You should then return to Gill's blog and enter the Mr Linky at the bottom of the post (do not reveal the secret word yet). After the hop Gill will contact someone at random and ask them to email me with the word - if correct they win some lovely candy.
Now on to my projects - I have created 2 cards for this hop.
I have used papers by Joanna Sheen and the stamps are from Clarity Stamps. They are from the Scotland framer set. I have stamped the framer and then embossed it in gold, brayered inside the O and then added other stamps from the set. The cardstock used is Stampin' Up!
So there we have it! Hope you like them and I'd appreciate it if you could leave me a comment. If you do like what you see and wanna see more then I'd love it if you would become a follower.
Your next stop is the very talented Beckie. Pop over and see what tartan treat she has in store for you. If you get lost along the way, there is a list of the full hop over at Gill's
Good luck and thanks for hopping with us.

Simon Says Sugarbowl Time
Hurrah, I found time to make a card. This beautiful image is I Give You My Heart from the Simply Sassy range at Sugar Nellie. Isn't she gorgeous?
I have coloured her with Promarkers, the DP is Prima and cardstock is SU!
The gorgeous ribbon was bought at the Papercrafts shop in Elgin, home of Sugar Nellie. I used the Bow -Easy template to make the bow - not too easy for me, I had to attempt it several times lol!
I have followed the sketch over a the Sugarbowl but had to turn it on it's side to fit the image. I decided not to add the flowers that I punched as they looked too fussy and I wanted to keep the card simple.
I am entering this into the following challenges
The Sugar Bowl - sketch and PINK
Make It Monday - anything goes
Woodware USA - clean and simple
Simon Says Stamp - girly
thanks for visiting my little part of blogland today. I appreciate your comments

Last crafty time of the week
I have so much to do this weekend, including a wee visit to the SECC that there is no way I will manage any blogging or crafting. I had to quickly assemble this card tonight inbetween baking, housework and playing chauffer to my boys.
This is yet another adorable image from Kraftin Kimmie. She is called Stella Strawberry and I have coloured her with Promarkers and blended Victorian Velvet Distress Inks around the edges. The papers are Prima and the roses are Wild Orchid Crafts. The centre circle was cut out with Nesties. I used a Martha Stewart punch down the edge of the DP for more scallops as this is the Kraftin Kimmie challenge this week. The sentiment comes with the image. I am entering this into the following
Kraftin Kimmie - scoopy scallops
ABC challenge = P is for pink
Simon Says - 1 image, 2 DP, 3 embellishments
Sketch and Stash # 56 - sketch
thanks for stopping by my blog today

Fresh Brewed Designs Blog Hop
What are little girls made of? Sugar and spice
And everything nice, That's what little girls are made of.
I think even as we grow, we ladies are still made of sugar and spice and everything nice, don't you? Today we have lots of girly fun to share with you! Fresh Brewed Designs has released (today) 7 brand new rubber stamps that are perfect for girls of all ages! Heather has designed 3 coffee gals to add to the already sassy series. These latte lovin' ladies have an extra sprinkle of sweetness. Each stamp has a little cherry topped cupcake added to it. We are also excited to introduce to you today Cutie Pie!!! She is a cute little butterfly fairy with a love for adventure and loves to spread smiles wherever she goes.
If you are just getting to the hop, you will have to start at the beginning at the Freshly Brewed Challenges Blog. If you are getting here from LINK BEFORE YOU 's Blog you are on the right track
I have used Cutie Pie Bitterfly on my card. I have paper pieced her dress and coloured her skin and hair with Promarkers.. The papers, flower and flower centre are Prima, sentiment is Paper Artsy and the pins and ribbon were from my stash. The scalloped cardstock is SU!, cut out using Nesties.
Here is what you could win just by hopping!!!
Here are the RULES for your chance to win the prize.
You will have to complete the hop in full and leave a comment on each hop stop.
The hop will start AND end on the challenge blog.
After you finish the hop, leave ANOTHER comment on the challenge blog post and let us know what your favorite image was from the hop.
To be able to decide which is your favorite, though, you will have to keep hopping!
Your next hop stop is Kathy B's Blog.
