Sunday Stampers & WOJ Challenges

Have managed two cards tonight. The Sunday Stampers challenge this weeks was to use pink in your project. The stamp is from Whiff of Joy and the papers are by HOTP.I have inked around the image with Adirondack Dabber in Pink Sherbet. I have still to add a sentiment (once I decide who to send the card to). Finally I added some lovely pink flowers with a pink gem brad in the centre. You may need to click on the image to get a better look at the stamp.
The Whiff of Joy challenge is to make a Christmas Card in non-traditional colours. The moose stamp is by Stampendous. Both stamps are new additions to my stash and I have been desperate to use them. Both images have been coloured with my Derwent pencils.
Hope you like them, thanks for stopping by

Friday Sketchers and a BIA box

I didn't manage to get this uploaded last yesterday as I was ill so hope they will let me enter at the last minute. The papers are by Dovecraft. The stamp is from Whiff of Joy, Willow and Oakley collection and I have coloured the image using my Derwent Inktense. Isn't he cute?
The box was made for a friend. The mountboard has been covered on both sides with the same Dovecraft paper collection and after punching holes with my BIA I have bound the box with some Dovecraft gold ribbon. Not had much chance to craft lately so apologies for lack of blogging. Hoping to rectify that over the weekend. Thanks for stopping by

Funky Fairy (take two) and Sketch Saturday

I really liked this week's sketch over on Sketch Saturday. I bought some lovely Dovecraft papers today so chopped up a few of them and then used my new Whiff of Joy stamp, Willow with Hot Chocolate and coloured her in using my Derwent pencils. The red strip of card is Real red from SU as is the sentiment stamp.
I decided to use the sketch for the Funky Fairy challenge again and this time use some of the free Funky Fairy papers. These are blue Christmas papers and can be downloaded from the website. I also used blue ribbon and buttons from my stash and a peel-off greeting.

Sunday Stampers- Tie a Yellow Ribbon

This week's challenge is to use yellow in your card. I have been busy making Christmas cards today so decided to use yellow in one of them to enter. The stamps is from Whiff of Joy, Charlotte & Charlie Winter Collection. I have coloured the image with my Promarkers and matted it onto some gold paper. I took some yellow Bazzill and embossed it using my fabby new Cuttlebug embossing folder. I don't own a Cuttlebug but the Big Shot does the job just as well. I matted this onto the card blank and then positioned the image using foam pads. I took a peel off greeting, placed it on white CS and matted it on the yellow Bazzill before attaching it to the card. Hope you like it and thanks for the challenge Hels.

Been a busy crafter.

Yes, I got some time to craft last night and it was great. I made a card for Sketch Saturday using orange Bazzill. The papers are from the Glitterstack by DCWV. The Sarah Kay image was from my stash and I coloured it using my Derwent Inktense pencils. I then punched out the image using a circle punch and matted it on a larger scalloped circle.

Managed to make a card for Friday Sketchers. The cardstock is Bazzill and the papers used are by The English Paper Company. The stamps are from Stampin' Up! and I have added some dew drops from my stash.

I got lots of beautiful cards for my birthday recently and Nicola at http://mypaperworld.blogspot.com/ enclosed some beautiful stamped images. I managed to make a couple of cards with these last night. The images have been coloured using my new Promarkers, a gift from my hubby, which was very nice I must say. I also mad e acard using a Sarah Kay image I had.

Friday Sketchers and Autumn tags

Day off today so made some tags for a swap I am in. The theme is Autumn. The stamps are from a plate by Queens Dresser Drawers. I inked up the front of the tags using Distress Inks in Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade, making sure I had masked the leaf image. I then watercoloured the leaf using a mix of Fired Brick and Mustard Seed. The reverse of the tags was coloured with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

Also managed to get this week's challenge from Friday Sketchers done. The papers are from Ambrosia by Basic Grey and the stamp is Whiff of Joy Charlotte and Charlie Winter Collection. I coloured the image using Derwent Inktense pencils and matted the image on some black SU cardstock. The buttons were from my stash.

Whiff of Joy challenge

This week's challenge was to have an Autumn theme so I have used colours that I associate with Autumn. I love greens and browns so have used Old Olive and Chocolate Chip cardstock from Stampin' Up! I think these are my fave of all their colours. The stamp is from the Charlotte & Charlie Winter Collection and I have coloured the image with my Derwent Inktense pencils. I just adore the Whiff of Joy stamps and want every one of them.
The brown strip across the card has been punched with my yummy new scallop edge punch from SU. I also used their scallop circle punch and 1-3/8" circle punch and placed the numbers 21 inside them. Added a peel off greeting to finish. This was for a girl I work with whose 21st party was last night. Shame I missed out on the party as my youngest was ill. It's my birthday tomorrow but unfortunately not my 21st lol!

Friday Sketchers challenge

Finally I have managed a challenge. The sketch this week was great but I did wonder how I was going to produce those two semi-circles??? I don't own a compass and my boys are not yet old enough to need one for their maths work so I resorted to drawing around a breakfast cereal bowl :0)
I used my latest purchase, the gorgeous Ambrosia papers from Basic Grey. I coloured Tilda in using my Derwent Inktense and attached her to the card using foam pads. The greeting is Studio G alphabet stamps.

60th Birthday Card

My Mother-in-Law is 60 today and I needed to make a card for her. She isn't a crafty person so I decided not to use rubber stamping or spent hours on her card as it will be in the bin in a few days. She never keeps any of her cards, even the handmade ones. I have instead used the Joanna Sheen Dancing with Shadows CD for both the images and the backing paper. I have matted the images and text on blue Bazzill cardstock and added some gems for a little sparkle. Very simple card. We are off out for a family meal tonight and tomorrow I hope to catch up with some crafting/challenges.

Sunday Stamper "BEE HAPPY"

This weeks challenge was to use a Bee somewhere on your project. I had to make a birthday card for my cousin and decided to try out my new template from Colour My World. I have stamped all of the cardstock with a Stampin' Up! set I won in a raffle that one of my blogging sisters held. We don't have this stamp set over here but I spotted the little bee and thought it would be perfect. The stamping is all done using an Adirondack Cranberry ink pad and I have tied some pink fibres around the book rings. I dotted some primas around the letter too and hope she likes it. Need to go post it today as her birthday is on Monday :0)

Time In My Pocket

the weekly In My Pocket challenge by Hels this week is "Time". I have used papers from Stampin' Up! Brocade Background series of papers to cover both sides of the pocket. I then used clear stamps from Art Parts both under the flap and on top. The large clock face under the flap was masked and a script background stamped over it. Distress Ink in Vintage Photo was then applied with a wet baby wipe over the images and over the papers to give it a more distressed feel. Time- oh how I wish I had lots more of it.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by

Sparkle sparkle- I love glitter!

Here is a card I made for my mum to give my cousin on her 21st. The stamp is from Creative Expressions and is stamped on acetate. I then used dries clear glue to stick various colours of glitter onto the image. This takes a while but I was impressed by the finished article. I mounted it on some lovely pearlescent cardstock from my stash and placed that onto an A5 blank. You need to click on the image top really see all the different colours used. Hope Kelly likes her card, I need to go make one from me now!

Make & Take with the new scalloped edge punch

This is one of the make & takes that we did at the recent field training for Stampin' Up! The scalloped edge punch is in the new catalogue, priced £10.95. The new book comes out 1st October. We got to see the it and try out the new products on Saturday and trust me, this punch is on my ever growing wish list. I had never used SU punches before and they go through cardstock easily. If you would like to pre-order a scalloped edge punch then e-mail me at shazzapat@tiscali.co.uk.
The stamps set used is also a new one but only available as a hostess gift. However, if you would like to hold a party, I'm your gal!!! :0)

Scrapbook challenge - Craftswap

I decided to make another BIA box. I covered it in Close to Cocoa DP from Stampin' Up!. I inked the other side of the mountboard with chalk ink and then threaded fibres through all the holes. It took bloomin' ages but I hope you like the end result.

The September challenge was "Something Old, Something New". You had to use old photos and new stash. I had a great time trawling through old pics of my boys but was depressed to see me wearing clothes that no longer fit! In these photos Ryan is about 18 months old and Jay almost 6- they seem so tiny. I used a scallop punch to cut out three of the photos and all of the stash is from a HOTP kit I had yet to use.

UKS challenge

I have joined a team on UK Scrappers and there is a weekly scrapbook challenge. I thought this would encourage me to get more into this and use up some of the lovely papers I have acquired. The challenge this week was to use black & white, 9 embellishments, (I used more than that), a sketch and some rubber stamping. I forgot to do any stamping but not to worry. The paper and teeny brads are by HOTP. The flowers are from my stash and I put a clear Dew Drop in the centre of each. The chipboard letters and numbers are from a Brenda Pinnick kit that I have. Hope you likey, thanks for stopping by

Alphabet Street

This week's Sunday Stampers theme is Alphabet Street, set by the very talented Dan. I have made a background using alphabet peel-offs which I inked over with Distress Ink in Spiced Marmalade and then took them back off. The girl is a Paper Bag Studios stamps and I have watercoloured her with Distress Inks too. She has an alphabet running down the side of the image too. I then tinted an A5 blank using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and a baby wipe and mounted the background and image on to it. Hope you like it and thanks for looking

It's tag time

I am in a monthly tag swap and the theme this month was sayings/sentiments. I have used Distress inks for colouring and the stamps are the freebie in this month's Craft Stamper and a new sentiment one purchased from a well known auction site. Firstly I stamped the sentiment on each tag. I then stamped the flower and watercoloured them using Fired Brick. I then masked the flowers and used Cut'n'Dry foam to blend Mustard Seed over the tag. For the splodges I stamped the fired brick onto my craft mat and spritzed it with water, then dipped the tag in parts of it. Finally some red fibres were added to each tag. Thanks for looking

Elzybells/In My Pocket

In My Pocket challenge returned this week and this week the hidden element had to be "Stars". I have used my Elzybells stamps again, some DP from DCWV Glitterstack and an orange inkpad. The little star gems are from my stash as are the wooden stars under the flap. The sentiment was stamped using Studio G alphabet stamps. I am sending this pocket to a friend, I hope she likes it.
I got some fab stamps from Elzybells the other day. A friend's daughter broke her arm during the week so I decided to make her a little card. I embossed some card with a Cuttlebug folder and chalked over it with glimmer chalks. I stamped the image and coloured it with the glimmer chalks as well before matting them both on the card. I stamped the message using Studio G alphabet stamps- they are slightly off but I wanted it to be like that....or at least that's my story and I am sticking to it :0)

DCM weekly challenge

This weeks challenge was a sketch. I had to do it as I love working from sketches. It was a friends birthday yesterday so I decided to make her card and enter it into the DCM challenge, killing two birds with one stone. The image is a Sarah Kay one and is coloured with my Derwent Inktense pencils. The DP is from DCWV Glitterstack and I used my Woodware scallop punch to cut the circle and stamped Happy Birthday inside it. Then I added little dew drops thingies around the scalloped edges. The piece of ribbon is from my stash and was attached to the card prior to mounting the image and scalloped circle. I hope you like it and thanks for visiting

Masking, blending and spritzing a la Dan99

This is a card I made for a friends birthday using my Distress Inks and a Paperbag Studios stamp. The techniques I used were all shown on a fab tutorial by my friend Dan. You can see it Here.

I used Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Mustard Seed inks. The image was stamped in black, masked and then I blended the inks on the card. I then spritzed water over it and watercoloured the stamped image with the Distress Inks. Thanks Dan for all your info and thank you for stopping by

Yes indeed, another scrapbook page!

You wouldn't believe it but already I have used my Scrapbook Sisters kit again. I have joined the Glitter Gossips team on UKS and the weekly challenge was
Use a Bee Gees song as your title
Use red
Use ribbon
Use bling
Use buttons

I have chosen a photo of my wedding. The River Ness and the castle are in the background. The page is white Bazzill and the DP, chipboard embellies and rub-ons are Heidi Grace. For the bling I added accents with Stickles and stitched around the DP with a Sakura glitter gel pen. The red button is from my stash and the ribbon was in the SS kit. Hope you like it, I am really pleased with how it turned out.
