My first tea-light card

This is my first attempt at a tea-light card after seeing them on a few blogs. Actually, the little box may be used to house various things instead of tea-lights. I think I'll make some more filled with chocolates(yum)
I have used the gorgeous Hippie Chick from the Simply Sassy range of stamps, exclusively available from Sugar Nellie. I just love her big eyes and have a wee wish list going which I am hoping to score a few off of later this evening!!

I have coloured her with Promarkers and did my first attempt at red hair, what do you think?
The cardstock used is Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up! and the papers are Ella Blue by GCD. The decorative edges were done with a Martha Stewart punch and the ribbon used to close the card is from my stash.  Here's what it looks like inside

As you can see there's a pocket inside the front cover which has a tag in it for writing your message. The pocket has been edged with the MS punch as well.  The box is secured with more ribbon. Here is a closer look at the gorgeous image
I have already entered the GDT call over at Simply Sassy. See my post HERE if you want to know what it's about. I am entering this project too although when I see the other entries I somehow think I'm on a hiding to nothing......there are lots of amazing cards.
As well as the GDT call I am entering this into the following challenges
Penny's Paper-Crafty  - anything goes
Sisterhood of Crafters - anything goes
Top Tip Tuesday - fabulous flowers
Simply Create - use punches
Stamp With Fun - blue and brown

So glad it is the weekend, time to relax and go internet crafty shopping!!! Hope you all have a good weekend and thanks for stopping at my blog x
