Happy Birthday Sis!

My little sister's birthday was yesterday so I can now share her card with you

The image is from Saturated Canary. Her hair is coloured with Copics and the rest is Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

Papertake Weekly

This is another Saturated Canary image, isn't he sweet? The yummy papers are Bo Bunny and they have been distressed and inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

First Christmas cards of 2008

These cards were made for two different challenges. Firstly, the square card has been made for the Artistic Stamper July challenge which is "Christmas in July" The A5 card is my entry for the Papertake Weekly challenge which was to make a Christmas Card.Both cards have the fabulous Madonna & Child stamp by Linda Luckin on them.The stamp can be obtained from The Artistic Stamper. For the square card the image was coloured with glimmer chalks.The image was matted on some blue Bazzill. I also cut a mat from the same blue Bazzil and attached this to the card blank. Then I matted a smaller piece of patterned paper which is by Heidi Grace,is embossed and utterly delicious.The image was mounted on foam pads to give some dimension and a peel-off greeting was added.
The other image was coloured with watercolour pencils. I matted it onto yellow and then blue Bazzill cardstock. I used some paper from my stash and cut a mat slightly smaller than A5 which I placed on the card blank. I then cut a narrow strip of yellow Bazzill and placed it horizontally across the card. The image was then placed towards the top of this strip, again on foam pads. A peel-off greeting was placed to the side of the image to complete the card.

My Paper World sketch #8 & Papertake Weekly

I made this card following the latest sketch from Nicola at My Paper World. Papertake Weekly challenge this week is glitter. The image is from Sugar Nellie and was stamped in black Staz-on and coloured in with watercolour pencils. I then used Stickles in Crystal to highlight her necklace. You will need to clikc on the image to be able to see the glitter I think. The background paper is from The English paper Company. I cut a mat of lilac Bazzill cardstock and laid this across the paper, following the sketch. I took a light pink inkpad round the edges of the image and mounted it to the card with foam pads. Finally I added two primas with some purple gems in the centre and three gems down the side of the Bazzill cardstock mat. This is another new stamp and I love it.

My Time To Craft/Papertake Weekly sketch

As my week off work comes to a close I managed another couple of cards today. The first takes in two challenges. The My time To Craft challenge this week was "Sparkle" and the Papertake Weekly one was a sketch which can be seen by clicking on the blog link under My Fave Blogs below.
I have used an image from Funky Fairy which I coloured with watercolour pencils. For the bubbles is used my glue pen and added a liberal amount of glitter(this is the sparkle but I don't know how well it will show up!). The horizontal strip on the card is pink Bazzill cardstock and then vertical is a green Anita's Sticky ribbon. I have matted the image on to a piece of Laura Ashley paper and then added some Primas with a gem in the centre.
I have yet to add a greeting when I decide what I will use the card for.I really like this sketch and am sure I will use it again. As for Sparkle, well, you can't get enough of that, can you:0)

Sunday Stampers/Papertake Weekly Challenges

This weeks challenge was to decoupage a stamped image on your project. I got this new stamp today and decided to use it for the challenge. I stamped the image twice, then cut out his hat, boot and part of his jumper and decoupaged them. The Papertake weekly challenge is "stripes" so I incorporated some striped backing paper from K & Co Hopscotch 6x6 pad.
I really love this stamped image and am delighted with how the card turned out. Without the Sunday Stamper challenge I would never have thought to decoupage the image so thanks to Andrea for setting the challenge this week.
