Sepia...and snow!!

What is going on with the weather? We have snow on the hills again and roads closed due to snow. It feels like February outside today, not the end of May. I wish Summer would hurry up.
I recently took part in a challenge to colour an image in sepia tones. Here is the card I made with the image

She is from Saturated Canary, I thought she looked quite haunting this colour.

Not too shabby!!

 Hurrah I managed a card this week!!

I have used Party Hardy from Saturated Canary, coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, except for the hair which was done with Copics. Papers are MME, lace is WOC and the embellishments are from Make It Crafty. Everything has been edged with Vintage Photo and I added Stickles to the butterfly.

I am never sure of doing these floral arrangements on my cards, haven't quite mastered them.

A little distressed!

I decided to do some distressing and inking on this card. I really love the effect, goodness knows why I haven't done it for ages?

Normal Service Resumed!

Yes we are back to work and school this week but managed to fit in a card today.

This is not a very good picture, the lighting is not great - something to do with the dreadful rainy day it has been perhaps?
The image is Orchard Love from Saturated Canary and is coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I tried a new colour combo for the hair, jury is still out on that one!

Time for some more Saturated Canary loveliness

This is the beautiful Princess Honor, inspired by The Hunger Games if I remember correctly. I absolutely loved that trilogy of books, haven't seen the film yet but it is on my to do list.
I coloured her hair with Copics, the rest is Promarkers and Flexmarkers. Oops I have just noticed I have not coloured her eyes, will have to rectify that later tonight.

New baby

I went to my first baby shower yesterday and here is the handmade part of my gift.

I have had this shadow box for a while. It is the first one I have attempted and was not really sure what to do but am pleased with how it turned out. The image is the beautiful Bambino from Sugar Nellie, coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The flowers are all WOC.

A Wee something to share with you!

My first Wee stamps. I have seen lots of these images on blogs and finally managed to acquire one or two.

Isn't she a sweetie? I coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The papers are a mixture of Basic Grey and Prima. I will add a sentiment once I know what I will use the card for.

Something Different!!

Kraftin Kimmie's challenge this week is Clean and Simple. I don't really do CAS cards but decided to give it a go. It's quicker than the cards I usually do and I am really pleased with how it turned out. It is also a great way to use up scraps.

A card at last

Been a while since I posted a card, apologies but I really don't know where the time goes some days. Anyway, here is a wee Saturated Canary image....just for a change! I do have lots of other companies images but there are so many of Krista's I haven't coloured yet and I am trying to get around to them.
They are all so gorgeous that I am sure you won't mind too much

I decided to use up some of my flower stash too. I see lots of cards in blogland with beautiful arrangements of flowers on them and I can never get mine to look like they do. Must get practising, I certainly have plenty flowers to get through. These are all from Wild Orchid Crafts. The papers are Prima and the sentiment is Whimsy Stamps. I realise as I type this that I have forgotten to do any shading under the image, must rectify that later tonight.

Making pleats!!

I have been practising creating pleats after watching a speed colouring video by Alyce Keegan. you can see her blog HERE. Her colouring is just amazing. She uses Copics whereas I use Promarkers so I don't get the same flicks. I am quite happy with how it turned out but definitely need to practice some more.

The beautiful image is from Saturated Canary, the papers are MME and flowers from WOC. I added a littel sparkle to her hair with Stickles but you cannot see it in the photos.

A male card for a change!

BRRR!!! I wish the weather would make it's mind up. Yesterday morning I went to work in a blizzard wearing snowboots. By the time I finished work the snow had all but gone. This morning there was a white covering again but it didn't last long. Tis freezing here tonight, time for jammies and a nice cup of tea.

My youngest son is 10 years old today!!!! Cannot believe how quickly time passes. He is delighted with his gifts and I have made him a giant cupcake for later

Frantic Friday!!

Today has been such a busy day, feels like I have been running about mad all day. However tonight I can relax with some friends over wine and good food so looking forward to that.
Rushing in at the last minute tonight with a card for the challenge over at Sugar Nellie to make a card using one of their fabulous new Vintage Adorable digital images.

Isn't she the cutest thing? These images are great for colouring as lots of the shading is done for you. Great if you are in a hurry like I was last night.

I love a Latte

I am not a huge coffee drinker at home, tea is my main vice....apart from white wine that is! However I do love a latte if out and about. This cute image is from Saturated Canary and is called "latte" and was a freebie from the lovely Krista recently. The Saturated Canary Challenge ~34 is Song Inspiration. My song is Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega. It starts with the girl waiting at the diner for the man to pour the coffee :-)
