Just Magnolia - Monthly Challenge

This month's challenge is distressing. I have used another Tilda image stamped while visiting Andrea and coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are MME Bloom & Grow as are the buttons. Raffia ribbon is from Bunny-Zoe crafts. All papers were distressed around the edges with my scissors then inked up with a green chalk ink.

Stamp something for Jaimie

I read this tragic story yesterday on Lydia's blog
"On October 4th, four teenagers, armed with knives, broke into a home in a small town in New Hampshire. Alone and sleeping inside were a mother and her 11 year old daughter. These 4 boys broke into this home with the intent to rob and kill anyone inside. They stabbed the mom, Kimberly Cates, to death and left her daughter, Jaimie, for dead in their driveway. It was a completely random act, their home was chosen only due to its secluded surroundings."
Denise and Erin - the girls behind the Stamp Something challenges, have organised a very special blog hop in hope that we can all give a little bit of hope and love to a very special and brave little girl.Visit the website here for more information and to take part in the blog hop. If you would like to send Jaimie a card then her details are
Jaimie Cates c/o Month Vernon Fire Station Main Street Mont Vernon, NH 03057

I have copied the sketch from the Spoonful of Sugar challenge so can enter my card there as well. Jaimie favourite colours are pink & black so I have used flocked papers from Papermania. The image is a Gorjuss Girl and she has been coloured with Derwent Inktense and matted on a scalloped circle. I added dots with my white Inksentials pen. The sentiment is Penny Black.Flower and gem from stash. I hope Jaimie likes it

I have used one of the Gorjuss images and coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are My Mind's Eye, Wild Asparagus. Almost forgot about the lace so had to use my Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch at the last minute, hope this counts. The flowers and glimmer dots are from stash.

Hurrah, I managed to make a card. This week's challenge from Just Magnolia is "Bright & Zingy" so I have used papers from the Basic Grey Lime Rickey collection. Some more Sugar

Another fabulous sketch over at The Sugar Bowl. I have used another of the gorgeous Christmas Manga images, coloured with Promarkers. The papers are again from the Kars Christmas pad. The flowers are punched using a Stampin' Up! 5 petal punch and the small flower gems are from my stash. I was in a rush so when I stamped the sentiment(SU as well) I have misplaced it slightly but I didn't have time to fix it as I am off for a few days with my boys, leaving hubby home alone.
Hope you like the card, see you later in the week and thanks for stopping by

In the Sugar Bowl again

I finally got to ink up one of my Christmas Mangas from Sugar Nellie. Apart from the sketch challenge there was an additional requirement of "paper piecing". I coloured the image with Promarkers and then stamped the image again on patterned paper and cut out the dress. This was then placed onto the coloured image. The papers are from Kars Xmas Collection.Flowers, ribbon and glimmer dots are from stash.

Two cards, two challenges

Ages and ages since I have managed to do Friday Sketchers so here is my card. I have used an image from Daisy May and coloured her with Promarkers. The papers are from the Eerie paper pad by Basic Grey, am loving these. The little pumpkin charm is attached using some chain and jump rings. Flower, spacer, brad, chain and charm from stash.

This card is for the Truly Scrumptious sketch and I have again used one of the adorable Halloween images from Daisy May. I've coloured her with watercolour pencils but the paper wasn't the best for this so it's a bit patchy. The papers are again Basic Grey Eerie.
Must go now and upload the new Stampin Up! book for 2009/2010 to my blog. Lots of lovely new products to tempt us.

Scrapbook Sisters book stand

This project is an online class with Scrapbook Sisters. I made the actual stand a few weeks ago but only managed to get the pages finished last night. All papers and embellishments were sent in the kit from Scrapbook Sisters so I'm afraid I can't give you any details. All the photos are from this year's holiday- the first holiday photos I have scrapped this year. Hoping to get some more time to craft/bloghop in the next few days.

Busy, busy, busy.

Have managed to squeeze in some necessary cards this week and here they are. The first two are using the Popcorn Bear cd's. Two of my cousins celebrating their 18th birthday's this month so I thought they'd appreciate this little guy.

This card was for a friend's birthday yesterday so I can blog it now. Not sure where the image is from but the background is a Tim Holtz stamp and I have used Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink to distress the card.
This card is made using a lovey Tilda image from my good friend Andrea. I have coloured her with my Promarkers and matted her on some Bazzill. The papers are My Mind's Eye, Bloom and Grow. Very much a rush job.
Must apologise for lack of blogging and that I haven't managed to blog hop much recently. It has been hectic but I hope to catch up soon.
Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you might leave

A busy week of craft!

A midweek challenge from Stamp With Us was to make a card using the cardstock Brocade Blue, So Saffron, Regal Rose and Elegant Eggplant. Here is my attempt. The stamps are from the sweet Forest Friends set.

This little suitcase was made using one of the Simply Scrappin' SU kits. My measurements for the lid were a bit dodgy so it is far from perfect but I thought I would blog it anyway but don't be looking too closely. I am going to have another go at making one. Meantime my darling son is taking this one to keep his "stuff" in!

This birdhouse was another of the Stamp With Us projects, from Monica this time. Really enjoyed making this but haven't had time to make the notelets to go inside yet. Too many other things on my to do list. All products are Stampin' Up! apart from the sentiment which is HOTP. Off to catch up with the other projects now.

Mini-book project

This is the most recent project from the online classes from Stamp With Us and is from Natalie. You can make one of these from half of the contents from a Simply Scrappin' kit, available from Stampin'Up! The kit I have used is one from the US, called Summer Days. I plan to put some of my holiday snaps from this year into it. All embellishments are from the kit and the ribbon is SU white grosgrain. The way the photos have uploaded you are seeing the back page frist and the front page at the bottom :0)
I will definitely be making more of these.
