Wags & Whiskers DT call

Yip, I am having a another go at applying for a DT. Wags & Whiskers have a DT call out just now and you have to make a card following a sketch. You can use any image so I decided to use on of The Greeting Farm images, which are available at Bunny-Zoe Crafts. I have coloured her with Promarkers and the papers are Basic Grey Kioshi. Lovely lush papers, seemed a shame to cut into them. I have matted the image on some SU cardstock cut with Nestabilities. I added three glass beads in line with the sketch and the sentiment is a HOTP stamp. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pins are from The Hobby House.
I am wishing my photos were better. My hubby is looking at getting me a good camera for my 40th, so fingers crossed. Also need to invest in a photo editing programme methinks.
Anyway, back to work tomorrow so the number of cards will reduce accordingly. I've enjoyed taking part in so many challenges this week. Thank you for coming to visit me and for any comments you may leave

Whimsy July challenge/Simon Says

Another card which combines two challenges. This must be a record number of posts/cards on my blog this week. I should be off work more often. Must remember to by a Lotto ticket this weekend!
The sketch for the card is the July challenge from Whimsy stamps. Their lovely image is Beach Baby Jayme and is coloured with Promarkers. I cut her out and matted her on SU cardstock which was cut with my Nestabilities.
The Simon Says challenge this month was a photo inspiration one. The photo was of a Blue Lagoon. This inspired me to use the turquoise and yellow cardstock- turquoise for the lagoon and yellow for the brilliant sunshine. I would be Beach Baby Jayme relaxing on the sand lol!
The DP and cardstock are Stampin' Up!, gems are from stash.
Thanks for visiting, I hope you leave me a wee comment as they make me smile.

Clean & Simple with Karen's Doodles

Yip, here is my third post of the morning. This week's challenge from Karen's Doodles was to create a clean and simple card. I decided therefore to keep the DP to a minimum with only one small strip, no embellishments and using coloured cardstock. The gorgeous image is Herbert Birthday Cupcake and once again I have used my Promarkers to colour him. I cut him out using my Nestabilities and mounted him on 3D foam pads. The strip of paper is Basic Gray and the sentiment is Hot Off The Press.
Thank you for coming by to see my cards, hope you have enjoyed today's offerings. Shame I have to go back to work next week and won't have as much time to play.

A BIG challenge for me!!

Karen's Doodles challenge this week was to make your card using Black, White and one other colour. You were allowed to use skin tones as well but that was it. I thought the easiest dress to leave white would be a wedding dress, hence I chose this image. I used the blender pen with my black Promarker for the groom's suit and hair. The bride's hair was done using two of the colours I use for shading on the skin. The other colour was as you can see PINK, one of my faves. I did have to make the leaves and stems of the flowers very pale pink but let's just call that artistic licence lol! I then went around the outline of the image with Dusky Pink Promarker and blended around the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I had planned to use Tattered Rose(much paler) but once I started with the wrong one there was no going back. The DP is from a Basic Grey pad. I found the heart charm in my stash and attached it to the ribbon with a jump ring. Finally a little Stickles was added to the frills on the dress, the bouquet and her hair for a little sparkle. Not the best card ever but I don't have time to make another so here it is.
Thanks for looking and for any comments you leave me, they are much appreciated.

I have punched the flowers from DP using my small Retro Flower punch and added a shimmery dot in the centre. The littel glass beads are from my stash.
